Holistic Saturdays: Strawberry Red Pepper Smoothie (V, GF)

Strawberry Red Pepper Smoothie

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 red bell pepper
  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Water

Blend until smooth.

One medium-sized red bell pepper provides 169% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of Vitamin C, making it one of the richest dietary sources of this essential nutrient. One cup of strawberries has 149% RDA of Vitamin C.

So add more bell pepper and/or strawberries if you like. Cayenne pepper gives it a kick and opens your sinuses. This is a great smoothie to drink if you have a cold. Let me know how you liked it!

What is the point of being blessed with talent if you don’t share it with anyone? What if God had created Earth, yet had no one to occupy it? Why have furniture if no one sits on it? What is the point of having musical talent if you won’t play in front of an audience?

Share your talents with the world. You have no idea whose day you will brighten by sharing your gifts.

(An oldie but goodie!)

We do have control over our thoughts, actions, and feelings. When you get into the feeling space of what you desire, now you are in the manifestation lane. You act like you have it already.

For instance, back in 1997, I interviewed for a job at an internet company. I wanted that job so much. Post-interview, as I waited to hear back from the company, I decided to “act like” I already worked there. Before I’d go to my actual job, I’d drive over to the internet company “as if” I was going to work. Once, I stopped in to say hello. That job was mine and no one was taking it from me.

I got the job.

Later, I found out that I was a “pity interview.” The group that interviewed me only brought me in because they didn’t want to cancel. The day before, they had found their perfect candidate. No one could be better than homegirl, but we’ll interview Althea anyway.

Althea knocked their socks off. They were impressed with my soap opera and pop culture knowledge, which was important to the job.

I acted like it was mine…

It sounds crazy, but feeling all the intimate details of your desire will indeed bring it to you. The point of power is always in the present moment (that’s a Louise Hay quote).

Day Seven of work.

An affirmation for work:

Blackberry Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1-2 bananas
  • 1-2 tablespoons agave (optional)
  • Water

Blend in a high speed blender until smooth.

This is super simple to the point that perhaps it shouldn’t be called a “recipe.” It’s so good though.

This is probably my favorite smoothie. Make it without the agave to see if it’s sweet enough for you. If not, add the agave one tablespoon at a time.

Blackberries do not get the love they deserve. This smoothie is a great way to enjoy them. Let me know how much you enjoyed this smoothie!

Day Six of work.

If you want to be deeply fulfilled by all that you do, maybe it’s time to leave your job. If so, release your current job with love to the next person who will be happy to have it. Your job is the perfect match for someone else. Let go to make room for the next person.

On your new job, bless that place and the people in it with love. Affirm that you are free to use your talents and abilities with abandon. Affirm that your boss is a wonderful person to work for. Bless your salary with love. Affirm that your new career radiates goodness. Declare that it’s all good. 😊😊
