Mocha Angels 365. Day 79.

The process of internal change happens in the dark. Change is an inside/out job. The past 48 hours have shown me what I need to be working on within myself. Aside from taking a morning walk, I’m going to clean out papers and shred them. I’m going to either throw away old stuff, give it away, or sell stuff on eBay. I am also going to get extra sleep. I’m adding EFT into the mix too. It’s also time to rid myself of old beliefs.

This pandemic is effecting every person on the planet. Even when we get back to business as usual, and we will, it won’t quite be business as usual. It’ll be different with lots of PTSD thrown in. So I’ll be talking about anxiety relief for the next few posts. Let me know what you all are doing during this global shutdown.

Mocha Angels 365. Day 69.

Every condition in life can be transmuted into glory and made divinely beautiful, no matter what that condition is. If we accept it, bless it, thank God for it or be ‘thankful in all things’, we can transmute even bitter and heart-breaking experiences and conditions of life into spiritual loveliness by this most perfect and exacting law, which is the Law of Alchemy.

Mocha Angels 365. Day 68.

(An oldie but a goodie!)

FOCUS on what you do today. Make each moment meditation in motion: washing dishes, getting dressed, driving, brushing your teeth, even eating. By employing constant meditation, you will come to see that everything is divine.

Mantra:

I am meditation in motion today.

Bonus: Deepak Chopra gives Lilly Singh a mantra to focus on during meditation.

Mocha Angels 365. Day 58.

(An oldie but goodie!)

We do have control over our thoughts, actions, and feelings. When you get into the feeling space of what you desire, now you are in the manifestation lane. You act like you have it already.

For instance, back in 1997, I interviewed for a job at an internet company. I wanted that job so much. Post-interview, as I waited to hear back from the company, I decided to “act like” I already worked there. Before I’d go to my actual job, I’d drive over to the internet company “as if” I was going to work. Once, I stopped in to say hello. That job was mine and no one was taking it from me.

I got the job.

Later, I found out that I was a “pity interview.” The group that interviewed me only brought me in because they didn’t want to cancel. The day before, they had found their perfect candidate. No one could be better than homegirl, but we’ll interview Althea anyway.

Althea knocked their socks off. They were impressed with my soap opera and pop culture knowledge, which was important to the job.

I acted like it was mine…

It sounds crazy, but feeling all the intimate details of your desire will indeed bring it to you. The point of power is always in the present moment (that’s a Louise Hay quote).

Mocha Angels 365. Day 54.

Day Seven of work.

An affirmation for work:

“In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. My unique creative talents and abilities flow through me and are expressed in deeply satisfying ways. There are people out there who are always looking for services. I am always in demand and can pick and choose what I want to do. I earn good money doing what satisfies me. My work is a joy and a pleasure. All is well in my world.”

– Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Life

Thank you for reading this series about work. Please let me know if it helped change how you think about your job.

Mocha Angels 365. Day 37.

“Our personal attempts to live humanely in this world are never wasted. Choosing to cultivate love rather than anger just might be what it takes to save the planet from extinction.”

– Pema Chodron, The Places That Scare You

I’m reading this book right now, and it is a stellar work. Chodron, an American Buddhist nun, most known for her bestseller When Things Fall Apart, gives clear instruction on how to open the heart (and keep it open) especially when we don’t want to do so. A review is coming soon. If you’ve read the book, or any of her books, let me know what you think.
